Haanthon ka sankalp

Haathon Ka Sankalp was one of the mega projects this year with a huge sustainable impact conducted by the MSFC Unit of RC Medicrew in association with Volship- a social entrepreneurship program by Bhumi and Volunteer for India, being supported by Yuwaah! by UNICEF. It aimed to create awareness on a simple yet forgotten topic: Hand Hygiene- the preventive measure of various infectious diseases plaguing our everyday life. After being chosen for Volship from over 4000 candidates across India, events were conducted at various schools, orphanages and elderly homes where simplified and knowledge -packed sessions on Hand Hygiene were conducted in the Mumbai and Thane region. We had 79 volunteers education a whooping 1000+ beneficiaries and creating a pathway towards sustainable healthcare. The team was also recognised by its efforts from Bhumi and Volunteer for India and Yuwaah! by UNICEF by being awarded the IMPACT STAR award for the highest sustainable impact created among 100 teams across India and INNOVATIVE VISIONARY AWARD to Rtr. Sejal Gupta for her unique planning of the project.

Wings of Joy

This was a week long pediatric sports camp to provide first aid throughout the games followed by a series of health camps to screen children’s general health and educate them on important medical issues. We successfully screened over 50 kids.

MSFC Mondays

It helped develop and implement a year-long project focused on educating the public about key women's health topics weekly through social media. The initiative has become a club favorite and is eagerly anticipated every Monday.

We brought on board a renowned OBGYN who runs her own successful hospital in Mumbai to help us train the future doctors about the importance of having an all round knowledge of Medicine and not just what is taught within the four walls of medical college. This was an extremely impactful event as in just one conversation, Dr Sangeeta managed to broaden our participants horizons and encouraged them to think beyond what’s mentioned in textbooks
